More about the role:

  • The role of a Logistics Supervisor at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is integral to the seamless execution of live events, conferences, and exhibitions. Operating within the dynamic and fast-paced environment of the SEC, the Logistics Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the logistical aspects of event planning and execution
  • This multifaceted position involves coordinating the transportation, storage, and distribution of equipment, materials, and resources essential for the successful staging of events. The Logistics Supervisor collaborates closely with various teams, including event planners, exhibitors, and venue staff, to ensure that all logistical elements align with the specific requirements of each event
  • This includes managing the timely delivery of event materials, coordinating set-up and dismantling procedures, and optimising space utilisation within the venue
  • You must also navigate potential challenges such as last-minute changes, ensuring adaptability and problem-solving skills are paramount. Ultimately, the Logistics Supervisor at the SEC plays a pivotal role in creating an efficient and organised environment that contributes to the overall success of live events, conferences, and exhibitions held at the Scottish Event Campus

About you:

  • Proven experience in a logistics or event coordination role, preferably within the events industry

  • Demonstrated success in managing logistics for diverse events, showcasing adaptability to varying requirements

  • In-depth understanding of logistics operations, including transportation, storage, and distribution

  • Familiarity with the technical requirements of live events, conferences, and exhibitions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with event planners, exhibitors, and internal teams

  • Ability to convey complex logistical information clearly and concisely

  • Exceptional organisational abilities with a keen eye for detail, ensuring all logistics are meticulously planned and executed

  • Proven capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
