Our Estate Kitchen Operations Manager

We are looking for an experienced production leader to oversee the day to day operations of this unit, taking responsibility for production planning and organisation, leading a team of 10- 15 cooks to produce the highest quality products for our restaurants and retail businesses. Leading your team to create market leading products whilst upholding the highest standards of food safety and clear stock control. Creating production plans, staff management, clear operating plans and holding your team to the highest standard of operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production plans and manging day to day operations
  • Stock management
  • People management / scheduling / Hr processes
  • Forecasting production needs
  • Operate JIT sourcing model, ensuring timely arrival of ingredients
  • Report on production output, staff performance and quality control
  • Work with wider management to ensure clear utilisation of estate produce, and on time delivery of product.
  • Manging both food safety and health and safety

What we're looking for

  • Previous operations manager experience
  • Fresh food experience is vital, small scale ready meal experience would be of benefit
  • Production and demand scheduling
  • Team management and scheduling
  • Stock control / procurement
  • Implement and enforce best practice for equipment maintenance, hygiene and safety protocols in production areas.
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
