We are currently recruiting a General Retail Assistant to join our team at RAF Leeming, North Yorkshire, DL7 9NJ

What you'll be doing

• Required to be flexible according to business requirements. The daily focus may vary, however it is expected that activities will typically include the following:
• Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers
• Restocking items and stock rotation
• Operating the till and cash handling
• General cleaning of a busy retail department
• Client focus – providing excellent customer service at all times
• General cleaning of front and back of house
• Perform daily paperwork and keep diligent records as required
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures at all times
• Set-up & closedown of retail areas
• Undertake relevant training as required of all aspects of the role, including working towards your Basic Food Hygiene and above as well as Health and Safety Level 2 qualifications.

Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as full on the job training will be provided
• Basic numeracy skills
• Must be able to work in all areas of the business if required (including the Premier Shop, Subway and Barrel & Bean pub.)
• A DBS check is required
