Sales Manager - Sports & Fitness -  Swanley, Kent

Up to £29,000 basic, £35,000 -£38,000 O.T.E.+ development opportunities

We are looking for a Sales Manager in Swanley Kent for one of the biggest sports and fitness chains in the U.K. to work at one of their newest and most impressive sites with a huge -state-of-the-art gym, extensive group exercise timetable and a range of sports and activities for children. The company is renowned for developing and progressing their top talent, and with a genuinely achievable commission structure, it is an exciting opportunity not to be missed.

The role:

• Recruit, coach, motivate and lead a small team of sales consultants to achieve their KPI's.
• Leading by example and contributing towards the overall sales target for the club. (circa 30%)
• Create sales plans and deliver outreach activity in the local community and to local businesses to generate new leads.
• Work with other departments to develop an in-reach strategy such as promotions and events to increase membership sales.
• Identify trends in leavers and work with other departments to improve retention and net gain numbers.
• As Senior Manager, support the overall business by ensuring prospects and members have a fantastic customer experience.

The person.

• An outgoing professional disposition who is motivated by hitting targets.
• A hands-on approach to leadership who will lead by example.
• Evidence of high performance in previous commercial sales roles.
• Ideally sales team leadership experience as a Sales Manager, Assistant Manager, Deputy Club Manager or even an experienced Senior Sales/Membership Sales Consultant looking for the next step.
• Ideally experience within the sports/fitness/leisure industry and if coming from another industry can demonstrate their passion for health and fitness.
• Ideally experience in proactively generating leads with outreach, sales planning and local marketing activities with local businesses/in the community.
• Living within easy commuting distance of Swanley, Kent
• Comfortable with working 9.00-17.30 or 12.30-21.00 midweek shifts and working every other weekend.
