We are currently recruiting for a General Assistant to be a part of our integral team at Imphal Barracks, York, YO10 4HD

What you'll be doing

• You will be serving food in the junior Mess – self service
• Bar stewarding
• Ensuring back of house is cleaned, floors cleaned, pots, pans and general work areas cleaned.
• Front of house cleaned daily as per cleaning schedule.
• Complete all on-line training
• Assist in food preparation if required.
• Serve food and beverages to customers.
• Operating tills and handling cash
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services.
• Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise.
• Putting stock away ensure stock rotation is carried out correctly
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the course of the work Perform daily paperwork Follow food hygiene and safety procedures

Experience

• Previous experience in a front of house or kitchen role would be preferred however on the job training will be provided.
• Great team player, flexible with shift patterns
• Positive attitude
• DBS check required
