Role Purpose
Food is incredibly important at B&K and our Head Chefs are the leaders in our kitchen. You will live and breathe food, be passionate about detail and take pride in your work. You will be an expert at getting the best out of people, able to coach and develop your team to deliver flawless execution within a fun and supportive environment. You are friendly, approachable and understand that communication is key to all departments, especially your General Manager.
As a Head Chef in our Brewpubs, you'll have the drive and determination to deliver an excellent service, every single day. Your main responsibilities include managing the food stock, ensuring safe working practices, you'll also be managing the food safety regulations in your Brewpub kitchen by leading your team correctly. You'll take a front foot in the preparation and cooking of our menu, ensuring it leaves the kitchen to perfect specification for our guests and will be given creative opportunities to develop dishes for our menu.

When we first opened, in 2013 with our first Brewpub in Portsmouth, we wanted to create a place where people could visit and be inspired by the world of beer. There’s not many places you can smell, hear and watch people make beer, whilst you’re there drinking it – some of which is award-winning!
Each of our Brewpubs have a microbrewery onsite, each with their own unique brewer, beers and recipes – making each Brewhouse & Kitchen that little bit different to the next. Our guests are taken into our world of beer, with a range of different experiences available to complete, including Brewery Experience Days, which includes a whole day of brewing with our brewers, crafting the best drink in the world.
We also pair our beers with classic and US-inspired dishes, served by some genuine, friendly and knowledgeable people, who not only educate our guests in all things beer, but ensure they deliver exceptional hospitality every time.
