We are currently recruiting a Chef to join our team at Princess Yachts, Newport Street, PL1 3QG

- Full time – 32 hours per week, Monday – Friday

What you'll be doing
- Effective and efficient food production in line with recipe sheets
- Full knowledge of all menu items served
- Preparing and cooking breakfast service to include full English and continental
- Preparing and cooking lunch service
- Controlling stock levels and ordering using our systems
- Controlling a budget and working to maintaining a GP using our systems
- Maintaining a high level of food safety and general health and safety
- Management of production to ensure minimal wastage
- Maintenance of food levels throughout all service periods
- Assisting in the compilation of all shift opening and closing checklists
- Discussing ideas or improvements with line manager
- Act as a trainer/ coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
- In addition to the above, Chefs may occasionally be required to undertake ad hoc duties in line with business requirements.
- At times you may be required to work at another site within the Plymouth area – driving licence is essential
Experience
- Computer literate
- Driving licence
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Previous chef experience
- Must be able to work on own and as part of a team
