We are currently recruiting a Chef to join our team at Princess Yachts, Newport Street, PL1 3QG

What you'll be doing

  • Effective and efficient food production in line with recipe sheets
  • Full knowledge of all menu items served
  • Preparing and cooking breakfast service to include full English and continental
  • Preparing and cooking lunch service
  • Controlling stock levels and ordering using our systems
  • Controlling a budget and working to maintaining a GP using our systems
  • Maintaining a high level of food safety and general health and safety
  • Management of production to ensure minimal wastage
  • Maintenance of food levels throughout all service periods
  • Assisting in the compilation of all shift opening and closing checklists
  • Discussing ideas or improvements with line manager
  • Act as a trainer/ coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
  • In addition to the above, Chefs may occasionally be required to undertake ad hoc duties in line with business requirements.
  • At times you may be required to work at another site within the Plymouth area – driving licence is essential

Experience

  • Computer literate
  • Driving licence
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Previous chef experience
  • Must be able to work on own and as part of a team
