We are currently looking for a Commis Chef to work with our integral team at Dale Barracks, Chester, CH2 4BD

- £11.75 per hour
- Full time – 37.5 hours per week – 5 days over 7, working one weekend a month.

What you'll be doing
- Assist Senior Chefs in whichever section they are designated to.
- Preparing dishes to a set menu
- Comply with all relevant food safety legislation
- Help to reduce kitchen waste and processes to minimise wastage.
- Supporting with food orders
- To work in a clean and tidy manner
- Check all food is compliant with allergens
- Putting away deliveries and following the FIFO method
- Placing food orders and maintaining kitchen records
- To monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.
- Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
- Some occasional till work
Experience
- Chef experience at commis level is desirable
- Previous experience of working in a kitchen
- Allergen awareness (i.e Natasha’s Law), full training will be given
- Excellent team player and communicator
- Security checks and DBS required
