Here at Chessington World of Adventures we are recruiting for a Head of Security to join our Operations team!

In this role you will lead the strategic planning and operational delivery of the Security department. Being responsible for the 24-hour security operation, ensuring that we always comply with policies, legislation, and group guidance.

As the site expert you will provide specialist Security knowledge and communication to the Resort while delivering the required balance between top class security standards and customer service expected at a Theme Park. As a member of the Resorts extended leadership team you will also play a key part in shaping the future of the business, driving improvements, and delivering against KPIs & other business targets.

As part of the role, you will be expected to work evening, weekends, and bank holidays on rotation to meet demands and requirements of the business which operates 7 days a week. There may also be times you are required to work or be on call overnight.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of an SIA Door Supervisors Licence.
  • Minimum 3+ years Security Management experience within theme parks, large scale venues, visitor attractors or holiday parks.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a people manager leading a diverse team.
  • A robust understanding and demonstrable experience in managing a security function in line with the law and relevant legislation.

The following would be desirable:

  • Experience in devising and executing Incident response plans, drills, and exercises.
  • Strong financial acumen, a robust understanding of P&L and the impact that close cost control has on business performance.
