About the role: 

As a Cook for our busy activities centre, you will support the smooth running of our food service serving up to 260 people each servicing. Ensuring all our guests and staff enjoy a healthy and nutritious meal throughout their stay. 

You will prepare, cook, and serve meals, (Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner) at the centre in accordance with the specified menu whilst helping throughout the Kitchen / service area. As a Cook, you will play a key part in helping to design the daily menu choices alongside our Kitchen Manager.

Essential

  • Someone who loves to cook large meals in the kitchen. If you're a batch cooker then Great!
  • Have a positive attitude and commitment to providing healthy and nutritious meals.
  • The ability to form positive relationships with work colleagues across the activities centre.

Advantageous 

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and previous experience working in a kitchen providing meals for large numbers.
  • Understands and able to apply Health and Safety procedures relevant to the role such as; Manual handling; safe use of machinery and/or equipment; COSHH; First Aid, Hygiene Practice and HACCP.
