  • £12.00 per hour for over 21s + Tronc & Fantastic Benefits
  • £11.00 per hour for under 21s + tronc & Fantastic Benefits

Includes regular weekends and Bank HolidaysVacancies:

  • 32 hours over 4 days
  • 16 hours over 2 days (weekend)
  • 8 hours over 1 day (weekend)

As the heart of The Newt's retail department, our cheerful, energetic, and hardworking shopkeepers are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences. They greet visitors with a warm smile, ensuring every visit is memorable while providing expert product knowledge and friendly service. Day-to-day, they expertly manage operations, from efficiently handling tills and offering enticing product tasters to discussing items in detail. They also excel in stock rotation, manage wastage paperwork, and keep the shop impeccably clean and well-stocked, creating eye-catching displays that captivate and delight.

Where you'll be workingOur shops are an important part of the experience whist visiting The Newt, we offer a high-end retail experience with something to suit every pocket. Specialising in the sales of our own products including Cyder, apple juice, cheese, bakery produce. We also have a walk-in cheese room with the finest British cheeses, our butchery counter with its own Himalayan pink salt wall for aging meats from our estate and freshly harvested vegetables from our fields. Our House and Garden shop boasts produce from local artisan craftspeople. Everything has its own story to tell and enhancing the guest and retail experience day to day is something we strive for: you could be a part of that experience for our guests! Our newest opening is 'The Creamery' at Castle Cary train station, which offers a selection of our favourite products from our main Estate.
